Maehwa Maul

This is my 3rd review on Plaza Mont Kiara. All because my office is in Plaza Mont Kiara. Block B, if you must know. My review is on Maehwa Maul, a Korean restaurant. Maehwa Maul or known as The Plum Blossom Village is located on Block D in Plaza Mont Kiara.

Here’s where Plaza Mont Kiara is located, if you need help. From the first glance, Maehwa Maul doesn’t look that impressive for a Korean fine dining experience. But that’s it. Sometimes a good restaurant doesn’t need all the heavy decoratives. After all, it’s all in the food they serve.

Maehwa Maul seems to have it’s group of loyal customers. Come in during peak dining hours and there’s a high possibility that you won’t get a seat. So if you decide to check them out, do go early.

So what’s good there? Meat … that’s of course. Then there’s also their kimchi. To know if a Korean restaurant is good, try their kimchi. Anyway, I was there recently for a quick dinner and it was a waste that I didn’t manage to go for their BBQ or grilled stuffs. Here’s what I had.

Fish and Chicken. Make that spicy fish and chicken. That’s right. Both are my favorite but I personally prefer the chicken as it’s spicier. The spiciness is somewhat different. A sweeter kind of spice. A difference in opinion, some may like it while others feel it tasted odd.

But generally the food in Maehwa Maul is good or should I say … up to standard. And of course, Korean meals always come with condiments.
