Lingzie Invades Ipoh!
So I finally finally made a trip to Ipoh after wanting to visit this quaint lil town for so long! The home of the legendary Motormouth , Ipoh is actually just 2 hours away from Penang! Despite that fact however, I hardly every visit Ipoh, and even when I do, I’m hopelessly lost in the town of round abouts and lots of traffic lights where very junction looks the same!! (to me anyway). My last visit to Ipoh was about 3 years ago for a day trip. Continue reading

Intan Nasi Lemak @ Taman Free School, Penang
Intan Nasi Lemak is one of those hidden gems tucked away inside apartment compounds away from the main road that you usually won’t know about unless you a) reside in that neighbourhood, b) someone who’s been there brought you or in the case of a flogger like me c) a reader tells you about it! Said reader urged me to give it a try, touting it to be one of the tastiest nasi lemaks around. When Ken of FoodPOI came back to Penang recently I suggested we check out Intan Nasi Lemak since I haven’t had Malay style nasi lemak in a long while, usually patronizing this Nyonya Style Nasi Lemak stall . Intan Nasi Lemak is your neighbourhood food stall where you can get a quick satisfying meal at reasonable prices Continue reading

Red Quinoa, Cilantro, & Carrot: 1 dish, 4 meals.
Last night I attended a food bloggers event here in Seattle, something I don’t often do because a, I haven’t been blogging (you noticed, didn’t you), and b, I still think it odd to sit in a room full of people who I might or might not follow on twitter, who I might have read some odd personal bit of information about on their blog, and vica versa, and NOT SAY HI, or have them say hi to me, like I’ve known them for years. Let’s be honest, It’s weird Continue reading

Pyramid Shaped Hainan Chicken Rice @ Wiya Coffee Restoran
Do you know how many shapes chicken rice can take in Malaysia? As far as I know there are three with the most common one served in a semi-spherical or bowl shaped. We can all agree there’s nothing fancy about this. Continue reading
